Sightseeing trip in the mountains

Today we had the second theoretical exam, where were three tasks in each five sections and we had to choose one from each. It was extremely hard, much harder than the first one for me.

In the afternoon we visited two places in the mountains, near the city: Garni and Geghard.

Garni is an ancient roman building, with a great view of a valley and the mountain on the other side.
We took a photo all together here.

Geghard is a monastery partly carved in the mountain. Two interesting things were around it: holes in the wall, where (as they say) if you throw a rock while wishing something and it stays up there, it comes true. Funny thing is, that most people can't do it and their wish will be to make one stone stay up there. The other one is a place where people build stone towers of of flat stones. It was fun to try it.

In front of these places merchants tried to sell us souvenirs and special food. They made us try some flat dried fruit, it really teasted like the bottom of my shoes. We bought a huge cake-like thing, that can be kept for a long time, we quite like it.
